MP blog damn boring
Was reading Mr Wang's blog just now and came across his post on a blog that sg's MPs have started a blog to be "more hip and happening", as stated by our dear PM Lee.
So I went to the MPs' blog and see what the hype is about. Apparently, it was reported in the news and all, but i wouldn't know, considering I don't read the Straits Times except Life section.
MPs blog
Aside from the terrible design (Harry Potter party so rich, no $ to hire graphic designer izzit?), the blog entries from our MPs were terribly boring, talking about how they spent their 八月十五 and all. Seriously, as MPs, shouldn't they talk more about the issues that affect sg instead on how they spend their day? Who cares man? I mean, we are just 平名百姓 and mainly blog for our friends and relatives, so we can write whatever we want. We are not governing sg anyway, no government official would care even if we write about important issues that affect sg.
But these MPs are public figures after all and their blog is heavily publicized so I would expect them to write about more meaningful topics than mudane matters. Hello??? We are supposed to vote for them in future and trust them to govern the country??? I seriously don't think so. But on the other hand, if you don't vote for the Harry Potter party, it's no upgrade for your housing estate! That is unless you are rich enough to live in private housing and couldn't care less.
